The Desk Comes First
I spent ten years inside a dealer network watching appraisals happen. The ritual was always the same: GSM pulls a unit in, runs the J.D. Power book, hunts live comps on three different tabs, cross-checks against the customer's expectation, and lands a number. It takes significantly longer than it should, buried inside distractions.
Then the customer's still standing there, and the GSM can't show them the actual comparable listings the offer is built on. "Trust the process," basically.
That gap—between what a dealer knows is true (the market moved, the comps are right there) and what they can show in real time—is what I built Get My RV Worth to close.
We give dealers the same valuation engine I'd use: year, make, model, the J.D. Power books, and we pull live market comparables significantly faster than traditional dealer comp research. The report shows the actual listings with links. Same rigor, showable to the customer while they're in the office.
For private sellers, it's the same deal on the FSBO side: choose a single report for $19.99 or unlock a lifetime valuation report for $47, both with actual market data and sources. No dealer markup. Just the number and the receipts.
I'm not building a broker model or a commission play. I'm building the tool that should've existed ten years ago when I was standing in that appraisal office.
